The first sessions for the Women of Valor project went well and it has ended temporarily for the upcoming holiday seasons to be picked up next year in the Spring. That gives me a lot of time to make more armor. I'm also discussing a full suit body armor commission with a client and I'll be starting on that in late November.
Lately, I've been working on headdresses to kind of break up the time between making armor pieces. The headdresses can be made and pushed out for display faster than the armor and that can be kind of fun. I am thinking about opening a twitch account to work on projects once a week in front of a live camera. We'll see, i'm still thinking it over in my head.
The biggest challenge for me at the moment is time prioritization. I'm listening to youtube videos to try to get tips to sort that out better.
It's taking a long time to get to the project that i'm really wanting to work on, a personal project, that deals with the origins of why Valkyrie Britannia got started in the first place. I'm hoping to get to it all soon.
I only know a few people who visit this website from time to time and I've redone it! ...again, for like the 7th time. This website originally started off as a drawing and video editing portfolio site, then morphed into a cosplay and events page for a few years and now i'm redoing it again! Since, I've been making more items to try to sell it's changed into a little storefront page. Perhaps with it being a storefront page that will require me to update it more than just once every 3 to 5 months at a time and really get my money's worth from buying the domain name every year. Speaking of the name that might change in the future as well, I still do cosplay but it isn't my main focus as much anymore, with me making items to sell, I've been stuck at home more and one of the big purposes of this website was to list all the events and photos from those events here. As I said I'm not able to get out that much anymore so my impressive list of events that I used to brag about is going to look really small, lol.
With the increasing amount of armor I've been making I've been getting attention from individuals to either be commissioned or to collaborate for art projects. The most recent one is a projected called the Women of Valor project that will be showcasing different women with diverse backgrounds in warrior-like armor and poses. This is an ongoing project and I hope it has a positive impact on the group of people who are participating in the magic and to everyone who lays eyes on the artwork.
