Welcome back and warmest evening greetings everyone,
I cannot begin to tell you all what all has transpired while I've been away. Pull up a chair, grab a teacup and sit for awhile, it's going to be a long story.
Are you comfortable, dove?
Alright, let's begin...
My last post was at the end of August, I had recently moved into my little castle and was in the earlier phases of settling in. All the magic of moving into a new space seemed too good to be true, I never wanted this high to end, like the beginning of a romance -butterflies abound, head in the clouds, feet off the ground.
And would like to know what?
I'm still enraptured by the romance that my little castle brings to me. If only I could find a man who makes me feel this way...
It's that fairy tale ending feeling we all search for at some point in our lives. Of course, this is reality and with reality there are certain issues that spring up. It all really depends on how you tackle the problem ahead of you. The issues I've had so far is the township not telling me certain things about my home's financial structure before moving in and then charging me for something that I wasn't aware of.
Karma handled that one in a form of a door prize provided to me in a cute little envelope, the same evening that they charged me the fare.
Other problems that creep up aren't exactly with the integrity of my castle itself, but with the special privileges that come with it. Trying to get a maintenance member to properly replace a doorknob can be quite the task, taking at least 3 men to handle. Days like that I'd like to have a handyman around the house for the skills I cannot look up or do myself. I'd be glad to cook a meal for that man if it meant to have my house in working order when I needed it. I also still can't believe it's been a month since I've been able to post up on my website, ridiculous.
Let's flip the recording on the phonograph shall we? It's sounding a little too scratchy.
I've done a few events and have worked on quite a few projects in September.
I think my most exciting adventure recently has been to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. This was my first year going by myself and I had so much more fun than I had ever planned on. You get a different perspective when you do things alone, it was very rewarding. I am almost entirely done with my Akasha-themed gown for the Lestat Coronation Ball in New Orleans around Halloween. It's beautiful, possibly the most beautiful thing I have created to date. I owe it again to my house having an extra room to lay out and leave my projects undisturbed. It's been great. Things I would like to get done before the end of this month would be to fix my bridesmaid dress, finish a kimono for a friend, adjust a Link cosplay I made for a young lady and continue adding improvements to my little castle.
I am currently in the process of painting my studio, once it's finished I'd like to post photos of it up to share with all of you.
Love x Peace
